You must have change some env. variables settings resulting in this duplication of object files. Please do the following rm /app/setups/Nwchem-6.5.revision26243-src.2014-09-10/lib/LINUX64/libnwpwlib.a cd /app/setups/Nwchem-6.5.revision26243-src.2014-09-10/src/nwpw make cd .. make link
